Class - Rambling Rose / Applique (3/3) by Silk and Salvage
Silk and Salvage Bay Quilts Workshop
Sunday June 21st 2020 1.30 to 4.30pm
Silk brings a beautiful lustre and sheen to your quilts that cotton can't. But sewing with silk fabrics can be intimidating – most silks fray and stretch easily and are also slippery to handle.
Join Julia McLeod and Sue Fox as we show you clever ways to use silk appliqué in your quilts. We'll cover two different applique techniques and will also show you how to make silk bias tape.
These techniques will equip you to make the simple flowers, leaves and stems on the class sample quilt shown here.
This class is the third in a series of three. You can take just one class to learn a particular technique, or you can join us for all three to complete a quilt like our 'Rambling Rose' pictured here.
