Class - Liberated Techniques #3 - By Fern Royce
Liberated Techniques by Fern Royce
Workshop - Saturday, June 6th (12-4pm)
“It’s not a mistake – it’s a design opportunity”
Liberated Quilting is an attitude, a philosophy and an approach to quilting, all in one. It is a willingness to try new things, a curiosity and a can-do attitude.
This workshop is designed as a process or technique class vs a product class. Rather than make a specific quilt, we will explore ideas and solve design issues. I will also teach you some techniques to add to your toolbox like the “wiggle,” “dancing squares,” triangle variations and the how, why and when to use coping strips, to name a few. A handout listing all the fun techniques we will cover in class will be provided. You may leave feeling the same way as one of Gwen Marston’s students who said, “I don’t know where I’m going but I’m getting there.”
Whether you jump in feet first or just dip your toe in, these three classes are suitable for all - from beginners to long-time quilters. Sign up for all three or just 1 or 2. Let’s get liberated and reclaim the quilting attitude of the generations of quilters before us.
