Come visit us at the shop to see what is new.We have missed having you in the shop and hope that you will come visit us soon! Bring in your projects so we can see what you've been working on over the last year. It's been amazing seeing how creative everyone has been and seeing your quilts brings us much joy. We also have a new family member, Talullah, who is eager to meet you!
No appointment is necessary, however, we still require that everyone wears a mask and use sanitizer. We need everyone coming into our shop to sign in and provide their name and phone number for contact tracing purposes. We provide sanitizer, clean pencils for signing in and we even have extra masks if you happen to forget yours.
We require everyone to use a mask regardless of your vaccination status.
We are still taking lots of precautions to ensure the safety of our customers, employees, and community. We are wiping down and sanitizing surfaces regularly and are still asking people to be mindful of social distancing.
All of our wonderful employees (and owners) have been fully vaccinated for everyones protection. Please help us keep our community safe and healthy!

August 2021 Gallery Exhibit
A collaborative show featuring quilts by the following artist:
Linda (Piego) Ellwood Gretchen Griswold Carol Leonard Suzanne McCulloch Kathy Uyeno Sue Wells
In August on our gallery wall we are featuring an exciting collaborative quilt show from a talented and fun group of quilters. Each quilter has their own unique style and together it makes for one very inspiring show.
Here is a little sneak peek of the show! We don't want to give away too much because these beauties should be seen in person.
A Quilting Community
"Sally Davey and Abbey-Shane Lawrence set out to create not just a fabric store but a place for the quilting community. The large and well lit classroom that is the setting for classes, workshops, and regular drop-ins with teachers was also offered to small groups who wanted a place to meet. In April, 2017, our small group, assembled on the fly, began to meet. Our styles are very different, and range from raw edge quilting to English paper piecing, from original designs to quilts executed from patterns online or in books and magazines; and quilts inspired by classes and workshops. Working very individually, we have had a fun four years. In anticipation of this exhibit, we selected a fabric from Bay Quilts and all bought a yard. Then we took off on the challenge to use this fabric in some way. At the exhibit you will see six very different quilts using one fabric in some way, and then some quilts from our own individual work."
New Quilting Groups Coming Soon!
Next week we will be sending out an email discussing the details of the NEW Bay Quilts quilting groups! You will have the opportunity to join a new quilting group here at the shop. Its a wonderful way to make new friends in the community and have a group of women to create with!
Social Justice Sewing Academy
We had the honor of displaying quilts made by the Social Justice Sewing Academy for the last two months at our shop. These quilts are leaving the shop on Saturday morning so if you haven't seen them yet you can come visit the shop tomorrow. If you are not able to make it you will be able to view them on our webpage at the end of next month after Abbeyshane has created a video production of the quilts.
Bay Quilts Block Of The Month Is Back!
Once a month Sondra Von Burg will be giving a FREE demo on how to create blocks using Jen Kingwell's tempters and patterns. All templates and patterns are available for purchase at Bay Quilts. Each month Sondra will demo a different pattern and on the day of the demo that pattern will be 10% off.
The block of the month demo starts promptly at 11am and runs for one hour. Please show up early so insure you get a good spot to view the demo.
You don't need to bring any supplies with you to watch the demo but please bring your mask and be prepared to check in and be mindful of social distancing. We require ALL customers to wear masks even if you are vaccinated. Thank you so much for your understanding!

Just A Reminder!
Please bring in a reusable shopping bag if you think you'll need one with your purchase.
Last year we made a resolution to help our planet and are doing our part by no longer offering single use plastic bags. We try to save some of the plastic bags that our fabric is shipped to us in to reuse them and will occasionally have those for customers to use if absolutely necessary. California requires businesses to charge anyone for bags in hopes that it cuts down on the waist and encourages people to bring in reusable bags.
We have reusable bags for purchase at the shop for $1.50
Please join us on our mission to help our beautiful planet. Ever small action helps!
